Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police were looking for a male suspect Sunday evening after witnesses said a man came into the McDonald’s at 903 W. 23rd St. with a baseball bat and began threatening another man inside. Sgt. Dave Hubbel said police believe the two had a disagreement over a woman.

The suspect never hit anyone with the bat, and he eventually ran away before police could find him, Hubbel said. Officers believe the suspect is not from Lawrence, and they are still investigating the incident, Hubbel said.
