Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ 800 block of North Third Street: A 63-year-old man reported the theft of several electronic items, including laptop computers, owned by BRB Contractors Inc. between 6 p.m. June 1 and 6:19 a.m. Saturday. The total value of the stolen items is $21,000.

Injury accidents

¢ A 46-year-old Ottawa man was taken Thursday evening to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a collision on U.S. Highway 59 in Douglas County. The man was in a southbound 2002 Ford Ranger that went left of the center line about a mile north of the Baldwin Junction and sideswiped a 2002 Pontiac traveling north.

David J. Becker was still being evaluated Thursday evening at the hospital and his condition was unknown.
