A request from the city of Lawrence to annex land for a new sewer pump station will be considered tonight by the Douglas County Commission.

The 40-acre parcel is north of Folks Road and south of Interstate 70 in northwestern Lawrence. The pump station will be built to serve development north of Sixth Street.

The Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Department recommended allowing the annexation.

Commissioners will meet at 6:35 p.m. on the second floor of the courthouse, 1100 Mass.
