Law enforcement report

¢ A Lawrence police officer arrested a 39-year-old Lawrence man early Sunday morning on charges of aggravated assault and battery, according to jail records. Additional information was unavailable Sunday.

Injury accident

¢ A woman was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Sunday afternoon after she was involved in a moped accident near railroad tracks just east of Lawrence, said Lt. Kari Wempe, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman. The woman’s injuries were not life-threatening, Wempe said.
