Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police are investigating an aggravated assault reported by a 36-year-old Lawrence woman. The woman told police that a 32-year-old Lawrence man discharged a handgun after the two had an argument around 10 p.m. Monday in the 3100 block of West 22nd Street. The suspect and the victim, who was not injured, know each other.

¢ Lawrence police were called at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday to the Greens at Alvamar, 3700 Clinton Parkway, in response to three teens attempting to break a vending machine. Officers arrested a 13-year-old boy at the scene and later detained another 13-year-old boy. Police are still seeking a 15-year-old suspect.

¢ An Ottawa company performing utility work in the 5800 block of Harvard Road reported at least $2,000 damage to excavating equipment parked in the area. The incident took place between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday. The equipment was spray-painted, according to Victor Mitchell, owner of Mitchell’s Construction of Ottawa.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported the loss of a 1977 gold Oldsmobile Delta 88. The car, valued at $1,000, was stolen between midnight Sunday and 10:30 a.m. Monday from his residence in the 1300 block of West 24th Street.
