Manhattan ? Zach Henderson played a role in three event victories, but it wasn’t enough as the Lawrence High boys swimming and diving team dropped a 169-137 decision Wednesday to Manhattan at the KSU Natatorium.

Henderson won the 200-yard freestyle, the 500 freestyle and swam a leg on the victorious 200 medley relay.

Jeff Standing won the 100 butterfly, Alex Boyer won the 100 free, and that duo joined Henderson and Will Pendleton in the aforementioned relay victory.

The Lions won’t return to action until early next month, when they jump in their home pool for the Sunflower League Championships on Feb. 2-3.
