Law enforcement report
¢ Lawrence police are investigating two aggravated burglaries reported Saturday, when residents were home during both break-ins.
The first was in the 2200 block of Lake Pointe Drive, where a 51-year-old Lawrence woman said she found a man in her home just before 6 a.m. The man, who was standing by her dining room table, fled through the front door and didn’t take anything.
The other was a report of a break-in at the home of a 62-year-old Lawrence woman while she was sleeping. The suspect allegedly removed items belonging to the woman and her husband.
¢ Lawrence police are investigating a report that someone stole a $15,000 Ford van from Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. The van was stolen from the parking area in front of a garage, which also was damaged.
¢ Police investigated a report that someone stole a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse valued at $4,000 from the 600 block of Gateway Court between 1 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle, which is owned by a 20-year-old Lawrence woman, was recovered in Kansas City, Mo.
