Law enforcement report

¢ Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress Thursday morning after a woman reported that a man had barged into her apartment about 8:40 a.m. in the 2500 block of West Sixth Street. Lawrence police spokeswoman Kim Murphree said the suspect was an acquaintance of the victim’s. Police cited the man for criminal trespassing, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

¢ According to Douglas County Jail records, a Douglas County Sheriff’s officer arrested a Lawrence man Thursday on a warrant for a charge of aggravated battery. The man remained in jail Thursday night in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A rural Basehor resident reported to Leavenworth County Sheriff’s officers that someone took a Polaris all-terrain vehicle, valued at $5,000, from unlocked property and then cut through a fence to remove the vehicle between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Wednesday.
