Injury accidents
¢ A Troy, Mo., man was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa on Friday afternoon after his vehicle rolled over on Interstate 35 in Franklin County.
According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Nathan Serven, 24, was wearing a seat belt at 12:15 p.m. when he lost control of his southbound 1989 Toyota pickup truck near the rest area. It veered toward the center median and rolled before landing back on its wheels.
Condition update
¢ Shannon Allen, 21, Lawrence, was listed in serious condition Friday evening at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Johnson County Sheriff’s officers identified her as the driver of a vehicle that struck a tree west of De Soto on Thursday night.
Officers said they thought alcohol was involved, but they issued no tickets at the scene and were waiting for toxicology results before proceeding, said Master Deputy Tom Erickson, a sheriff’s spokesman.
