A 20-year-old Leawood man suffered minor injuries after being beaten with a blunt object between 1:45 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of West 14th Street, according to a police report released Thursday.
¢ A Lawrence man was arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of punching another man in the head repeatedly after trying to run him off the road.
The suspect, 24, began punching the 18-year-old victim near the Wal-Mart parking lot on Iowa Street after a vehicle chase. The chase began when the victim passed the suspect who was intentionally driving slowly along 31st Street, Lawrence police said.
The man was booked into Douglas County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and battery, jail records show.
