Law enforcement report

¢ A 29-year-old Lawrence man living at Gaslight Village, 1900 W. 31st St., has been arrested in a 2006 rape case. He was booked into the Douglas County Jail on Wednesday morning.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ City at large: Someone stole a bank bag containing $1,650 cash belonging to Bum Steer Catering, 1208 E. 25th St., Suite D, according to a report. It happened between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.

¢ 3500 block of Clinton Parkway: A 44-year-old woman reported her Chrysler Town & Country, valued at $30,000, stolen from LMH South between Dec. 19 and Dec. 20.

Injury accidents

¢ A Lawrence woman went to the hospital Monday night after a wreck at 19th Street and Haskell Avenue.

Gloria J. Ray, 44, was driving a 1997 Dodge Intrepid south on Haskell Avenue about 10:45 p.m. when the driver of a westbound 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier entered the intersection on a flashing red light and the two cars collided, according to a police report.

Ray was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The driver of the Cavalier, Dianna L. McNett, 44, Lawrence, was cited by police for disregarding a traffic signal.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported no calls Wednesday night.
