Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police are investigating damage possibly caused by a BB gun early Tuesday in two places in Lawrence.

Between midnight and 6:27 a.m., a vehicle window in the 2500 block of Allison Drive sustained $500 in damage, which was consistent with holes created by shots from a BB gun, according to a police report.

Also, at 2:23 a.m. in the 1700 block of East 25th Terrace, a Jeep sustained $50 damage to the back seat, where the owner found a lodged BB. The vehicle’s owner reported to police that he saw a vehicle pass by and alleged that someone shot at the Jeep.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 42-year-old man reported to police just after midnight Tuesday that someone damaged two vehicles and a residential window in the 3300 block of Iowa Street. According to a Lawrence police report, the man told officers he heard a noise outside his home and found $1,000 damage to a 2006 Dodge Stratus, $200 damage to a 1983 Oldsmobile and $500 damage to his home’s window.

¢ During the final weekend that the Mass. Street Deli was open for business, someone attempted to remove a large print hanging on the south wall of the restaurant at 941 Mass. Lawrence police were called at 11:45 p.m. Saturday to investigate the alleged attempted theft of the print, valued at $1,500. The store’s general manager reported damage to the print’s frame and glass, valued at $350.

Injury accidents

¢ A woman was flown Tuesday evening to Kansas University Medical Center after she was thrown from an all-terrain vehicle in the 1100 section of North 650 Road.

The woman, whose name was not immediately available, was transported to KUMC by LifeStar helicopter after suffering injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Fire calls

¢ Fire crews were dispatched Tuesday afternoon to 1851 Diagonal Road near Lecompton to extinguish a controlled burn that briefly went out of control.

The fire came within approximately 30 yards of a structure, but firefighters were able to control it.
