Conner Teahan, a 6-foot-5 senior guard from Rockhurst (Mo.) High, has decided to accept a preferred walk-on spot on Kansas University's basketball team.
Teahan, who averages more than 20 points a game, made the decision after Saturday's KU-Iowa State game.
He had recruiting interest in football from Kansas State, Missouri, Wisconsin and others. In basketball, he drew interest from several Missouri Valley schools as well as Tennessee, Mississippi, Pepperdine and others.
There's a chance he could play his way into a scholarship in the future.
