Law enforcement report

¢ A Leavenworth woman was involved in a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday evening in Leavenworth County. Sherri Edwards, 42, was driving westbound on Fairmount Road late Wednesday evening when a vehicles turned in front of her coming out from 147th Street.

The other vehicle then drove off, but not before causing approximately $2,500 in damage to Edwards’ car.

She described the other vehicle as a dark four-door vehicle.

Edwards was not injured in the accident.

¢ A 32-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Friday by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for aggravated battery.

His bond was set at $3,500, according to jail records.

No additional information was available Friday night.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A computer was among several items reported stolen Thursday from Wal-Mart on the 3300 block of Iowa Street.

An estimated $1,089.27 worth of merchandise was taken from the store.
