Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police are investigating a rape that reportedly occurred at a western Lawrence motel sometime Wednesday or early Thursday. A police report said the victim was a 21-year-old Eudora woman and the suspect is a 53-year-old Ottawa man. The victim and suspect know each other, police said.

¢ A Lawrence police officer who investigates juvenile cases arrested a 43-year-old Lawrence man Thursday afternoon on a charge of aggravated indecent liberties, according to Douglas County Jail records. Additional information from police was unavailable Thursday night.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ More than $6,000 in personal property was taken in a burglary and theft at a residence in the 700 block of Monterey Way. An estimated $200 in damage was also caused to the residence, which is occupied by a 27-year-old man. The incident occurred early Wednesday.
