Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police arrested a 21-year-old Lawrence man on charges of rape, battery and criminal restraint at 10:28 a.m. Friday. Police were called by a resident of a south-central apartment complex at 3:03 a.m. who reported a woman in distress. Police found the victim, a 23-year-old Jersey City, N.J., woman standing outside the caller’s apartment. She was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries. The case was forwarded to the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office. No further details were available.

¢ Lawrence police are investigating a report that a 36-year-old Lawrence man illegally touched a 15-year-old Lawrence girl at an east Lawrence residence between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 4. The victim and suspect are known to each other, according to a police report.

¢ Lawrence police are investigating a report that a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl exchanged illegal pictures of each other. The incident was reported by a relative of one of the victims on Dec. 16. No further details were available.

¢ Lawrence police are investigating a report that a 37-year-old Lawrence man battered a 35-year-old Lawrence woman and a 12-year-old Lawrence boy at a North Lawrence residence on Dec. 14. Police were called to the residence where the 37-year-old suspect was arrested. The case was turned over to the district attorney’s office.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 2006 silver Honda Civic worth $11,000 was recovered by Lawrence police Thursday in the 1100 block of Brynwood Court. A 35-year-old Lawrence woman reported the theft on Dec. 17.

¢ Joel Friztel Construction reported a theft of a Caterpillar Wheel Skid Steer Loader, a trailer and tractor accessories all worth about $41,588. The incident occurred between midnight Dec. 13 and 3 p.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of Haskell Avenue.
