Law enforcement report

¢ The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest Tuesday in connection with an aggravated arson on Kansas University’s campus, according to KU Public Safety. In the early morning of Sept. 19, a paper banner hanging from the ceiling of Oliver Hall was set on fire. Tuesday’s arrest was made possible in part by a call to KU Crime Stoppers, KU Public Safety Capt. Schuyler Bailey said.

¢ Lawrence Police are investigating a report that a 17-year-old Lawrence woman was raped by a 37-year-old Lawrence man. The incident allegedly occurred Nov. 25 at a central Lawrence residence. The suspect and victim are listed as acquaintances.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 21-year-old Lawrence man reported to Lawrence Police the theft a 2003 Mazda on Nov. 28. The vehicle was recovered the same day. The theft occurred between 10 p.m. Nov. 27 and 12:54 a.m. Nov. 28 in the 1100 block of Louisiana Street.

¢ A 39-year-old Lawrence man reported on Friday reported the theft of $1,280 in audio equipment. The incident occurred between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of Walnut Street. Among the items stolen were a 1800-watt Lanzar amplifier valued at $280, a second 800-watt amplifier and speakers.

¢ More than 200 compact discs, valued at $3,000, were reported stolen Thursday by a 23-year-old Lawrence woman. The incident occurred between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and 10:30 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 2000 block of West 27th Street.
