LHS tennis falls to Ravens

The Lawrence High girls tennis team fell, 4-0, to Olathe Northwest but bounced back to claim second place at the Leavenworth Quadrangular on Wednesday with consecutive 3-1 wins versus Leavenworth and Shawnee Mission North.

No. 1 singles player Lucy Liu earned singles victories against both Leavenworth and Shawnee Mission North. Yoshika Crider also defeated the Pioneers and the Indians at No. 2 singles.

The No. 1 doubles team of Elizabeth Simons and Lynn Chen went 0-3 while Marcy Vickers and Mila Mimica finished 2-1 at No. 2 doubles.

The Lions play their first dual meet of the season at 3:30 p.m. today at home against Blue Valley Northwest.
