The Lawrence High girls golf team traveled to De Soto on Wednesday and finished in eighth place out of 10 teams at the Olathe North Invitational.

Kalli McClure led the Lions with a nine-hole score of 53. Libby Queen followed with a 57 and Erin Theimesch fired a 58.

Kylie Waite and Hilary Ferguson rounded out LHS’s scorecard with scores of 60 and 63, respectively.

The Lions’ first 18-hole tournament will be Sept. 11 at Eagle Bend Golf Course. Free State High will play host to the meet.
