Law enforcement report

¢ A Lawrence woman left a dog in her car with the outside temperature of 95 degrees at 3:40 p.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of West Sixth Street. A Lawrence police officer arrived at the Dillons parking lot and saw a small brown dog inside a vehicle. The officer went inside the store and paged the 47-year-old owner of the vehicle. The report was forwarded to Municipal Court.

¢ A 37-year-old woman called police about 11:30 p.m. Saturday to report what she thought were gunshots fired in the 700 block of West 25th Street. Officers checked the area and spoke with several neighbors who said they did not hear anything.

¢ A Lawrence man’s white 1992 Ford F-150 valued at $63,000 was stolen on Thursday but was found in an embankment on Friday. The vehicle was eastbound on Kansas Highway 32. The vehicle left the road, went down an embankment and struck a tree, according to a report from the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office. The Lawrence Police Department was contacted to assist in finding the vehicle owner. Lawrence police said the vehicle was stolen between 5 p.m. on Thursday and 7:20 p.m. on Friday.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 20-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft of an XBox 360 game console and several video games from his residence in the 600 block of Gateway Court on Saturday. The property was valued at more than $1,300.

¢ A 24-year-old Lawrence woman reported a Dell laptop computer, valued at $1,300, stolen in the 900 block of Indiana Street on Sunday. The computer and its case were allegedly stolen between 12:45 a.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday.
