Injury accidents

¢ A Lawrence man and Eudora man were involved in an injury accident at 4:20 p.m. Thursday at Kansas Highway 10 and Wakarusa Drive. David Haynes, of Lawrence, was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after he failed to stop at a stop light, striking the vehicle of Michael Cook, 54, of Eudora, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Cook refused treatment.

Both men we wearing their seat belts, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report. Haynes, 60, was treated and released, according to an LMH nursing supervisor.

Emergency calls

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:

¢ Gas leak, 10:13 a.m. Thursday, 1929 Mass.

¢ Sprinkler activation, no fire, 1:19 p.m. Thursday, 325 Maine.

¢ Motor vehicle accident, 4:39 p.m. Thursday, three-mile marker, Kansas Highway 10.

¢ Downed power line, 8:51 p.m. Thursday, 2957 Four Wheel Drive.
