Law enforcement report

¢ A 23-year-old Lawrence woman reported $1,500 in damage to her car Monday. The car, located in the 900 block of Arkansas Street, had its rear window broken and its trunk lid dented and scratched. The incident occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. Monday.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A tan 1983 Chevrolet truck, valued at $1,500, was reported stolen around 3 a.m. Tuesday from Superior Enterprises Inc., 849 W. 22nd Terrace.

¢ An 18-year-old Lawrence woman reported a red 1999 Dodge Neon, valued at $2,500, stolen Monday. The theft allegedly occurred between 10 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of Hanover Place.

¢ A 26-year-old Lawrence man reported $1,050 in losses when his car was broken into between 10 p.m. Sunday and 9:15 a.m. Monday. The car, parked in the 1800 block of Tennessee, was broken into through the driver’s side window. An iPod and remote control airplane transmitter were stolen.

¢ A 23-year-old man from Fort Collins, Colo., reported the theft of an Apple laptop computer at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The computer, valued at $1,200, was taken from a bench in the lobby of the Baymont Inn, 740 Iowa.

¢ A 41-year-old Lawrence man reported the criminal use of a financial card Friday. The card was allegedly taken from his residence in the 900 block of Holiday Drive and about $1,138 was charged on the card between July 23 and Thursday.

Emergency calls

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:

¢ A buildup of material caught fire Tuesday evening in the smoker at Buffalo Bob’s Smokehouse, 719 Mass. Restaurant staff extinguished the fire with a garden hose and kept it confined to the smoker, said Division Chief Joe Hoelscher. Fire trucks and police responded at 6:30 p.m. as a precaution.

¢ Smoke detector activation, 3:19 p.m. Monday, 5200 Clinton Parkway.

¢ Unauthorized burning, 4:24 a.m. Tuesday, 827 Tenn.
