Registration open for communication camp

A Kansas University clinic for people with communication difficulties is accepting registrations for its annual children’s “Communication Camp.”

The day camp, a collaboration between the Lawrence Sertoma Club and KU’s Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, is open to children ages 4 and older with and without communication challenges. Registrations are due by May 1.

The camp will take place June 18-22 and June 25-29. Both morning and afternoon sessions are available. A teen camp will be from July 9-13.

The cost is $100, but for children with communication challenges, $80 of the fee is paid by the Sertoma Club.

More information is available by calling the clinic at 864-4690 or by e-mailing Jane Wegner at jwegner@ku.edu.
