Law enforcement report
¢ Lawrence police are investigating a report of an assault between 2:30 a.m. and 3:42 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Powers Street.
A 26-year-old Lawrence man told police that another man fired four shots from a handgun into the air from a sport utility vehicle that moved past his residence. The suspect was a passenger in the vehicle, the victim reported.
The victim reported that the suspect drove by his residence three times during the morning. No other calls were recorded by dispatch concerning a shooting, and police found no gun casings in the area. Police are trying to locate the 24-year-old suspect.
¢ Lawrence police are investigating $1,500 estimated damage to a Porsche owned by a 31-year-old Lawrence man. The vehicle was scratched and its tires were damaged between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 12:15 a.m. Saturday while it was parked on the first floor of the city parking garage, 935 N.H.
