Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police say officers are investigating a report that two dogs bit a 5-year-old girl earlier this week at “Dad” Perry Park in the 1200 block of Monterey Way. Police were called to the hospital Wednesday evening.

The girl says she was walking in the park’s playground about 6:30 p.m. when two small dogs with collars approached her and began biting her. She described seeing a boy in the area who left the park with the dogs. Police were not able to find the dogs, and as of Friday morning they still were unidentified.

Injury accidents

¢ A 21-year-old Basehor man died Friday morning after a one-vehicle rollover accident in Kansas City, Kan.

Stephen Brock drove his 2002 Chevrolet to the east on Interstate 70 and, at 11:45 a.m., turned to travel south on Interstate 635, but his vehicle ran off the road at the ramp for an unknown reason, according to a report with the Kansas Highway Patrol.

As he tried to steer the vehicle back to normal, he overcorrected and the vehicle flipped. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

¢ A Tonganoxie teenager suffered an injury Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in Tonganoxie.

Michelle Baker, 15, was driving a 1990 Pontiac car north on Main Street when she failed to yield and pulled out in front of an eastbound 1997 Mercury car, driven by Jennifer Fatherley, 35, Tonganoxie, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Fatherley’s car then struck Baker’s car. Fatherley was not injured, but Baker was taken by Leavenworth County EMS to Providence Hospital in Leavenworth. She did not wear a seat belt, the report said.
