KU center to connect German language, business

Kansas University has created a Center for German Business Language, a joint effort of KU’s department of Germanic languages and literatures and the Center for International Business Education and Research.

Housed in the German department in Wescoe Hall, the center’s mission is to teach, train and test German language for business purposes for KU students and teachers of German. The center will reach out to area institutions and high schools. Rex Clark and Jim Morrison, lecturers in the German department, are co-directors of the center.

KU’s German department also has been selected as a “testing partner” by the international Goethe Institute for testing language competency for the “Certificate in German for the Professions.”
