Fundraiser to benefit KU’s Audio-Reader

September 15, 2006

"For Your Ears Only," the annual fundraiser to benefit Kansas University's Audio-Reader is set for Sept. 22-23 at Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2120 Harper St., Buildings 1 and 2.

The sale will feature new and used albums, CDs, books on tape, stereos, turntables, musical instruments and more. Proceeds benefit Audio-Reader, a reading and information service for blind, visually impaired and print-disabled individuals.

The sale will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 22 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 23.

A $7 entry fee Sept. 22 buys the privilege of "early bird shopping."

Musical instruments, including clarinets, saxophones and an organ, will be available via silent auction Sept. 22.

Admission is free Sept. 23, with bargains slashed to half price at noon, $5 a bag at 2 p.m. and most items free at 3:30 p.m. Most records will be available for $1 and CDs for $3.
