LHS soccer falls to T-Birds, 2-0
TECUMSEH ? Shawnee Heights handed Lawrence High’s soccer squad its first loss of the year Thursday night. The Lions, who won their first two games of the season, fell, 2-0.
Shawnee Heights scored late in the first half and midway through second half.
“I thought we came out a little flat,” LHS coach David Platt said. “They came out a little stronger and quicker. But we battled and made them work for the win. Even though they scored two goals, I can’t say enough about our sweeper, Kevin Calton, and stopper Greg Payne. They really worked their tails off tonight.”
Next for the Lions (2-1) will be a 4 p.m. Thursday game at Free State.
