Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police are investigating a report about a 62-year-old Lawrence man suspected of breaking two windows with a hockey stick and threatening a 47-year-old Lawrence man about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at a residence in the 800 block of Maple Street.

Emergency calls

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:

¢ Firefighters responded at 3 p.m. Thursday to a call of an apartment fire at 2130 W. 26th St. No one was in the apartment where the fire originated, said Mark Bradford, chief of Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical. A neighbor was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, he said.

Later Thursday, firefighters continued to investigate the fire’s cause and estimate damage to the apartment, which Bradford said would be significant. Other apartments in the building sustained smoke and water damage, he said.

¢ Cooking fire, confined to container, 12:19 p.m. Wednesday, 1506 Lilac Lane.

¢ Natural gas leak, 7:49 p.m. Wednesday, 1221 Wagon Wheel Road.
