Law enforcement report

¢ An unknown person painted on the front door and put glue in the door lock of the U.S. Marine Recruiting Station, 2223 La., between 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, according to a report released today. It caused about $150 in damage.

¢ Police are investigating a 47-year-old Lawrence man’s report that he found an arrow sticking through his living-room wall Sunday morning in the 400 block of Pleasant Drive. Police say there were what appeared to be practice targets lined up along a privacy fence in an adjacent yard, but as of Monday no suspect had been identified.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ 600 block of North Ninth Street: A John Deere generator was stolen from an outbuilding between 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.

¢ 1215 W. Sixth St.: An unidentified person stole a bank-deposit bag and $1,753.12 in cash from Ray’s Liquor between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Friday.

¢ 1000 block of Vermont Street: A Berryton man’s 1994 Honda Civic, valued at $5,000, was stolen between noon and 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.

¢ 800 block of Comet Lane: Habitat for Humanity reported an air-conditioning and heating unit stolen from the agency’s office between Oct. 9 and Oct. 11.

¢ 2400 block of West 25th Street: A 20-year-old Kansas University student’s 1996 Honda Civic worth $10,000 was stolen between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Friday.
