Law enforcement report

¢ A 19-year-old Lawrence resident was arrested and booked into Douglas County Jail after hitting two cars and fleeing the scene of the wreck.

Lawrence Police Sgt. Michael Monroe said the man, who was driving a 1990s Chevrolet, rear-ended another car about 4 p.m. Sunday near Ninth and Iowa streets, then hit the car behind him while trying to flee.

Moments later, the man drove back by the intersection and subsequently was arrested. He was booked into Douglas County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and having an open container.

¢ Three suspects arrested this weekend in association with a Friday morning stabbing outside Liquid, 804 W. 24th St., remained in Douglas County Jail on Sunday night.

Three Lawrence men between the ages of 19 and 24 are held on suspicion of aggravated battery in lieu of $50,000 and $75,000 bonds.

Information from the Douglas County Attorney’s Office regarding possible charges wasn’t available Sunday night.
