Injury accidents

¢ A 26-year-old Topeka man suffered disabling injuries during a one-vehicle accident Friday night in southwestern Douglas County near Globe.

Scott Greene was ejected from his 1991 Mazda car at 10:20 p.m. on U.S. Highway 56 when his car ran off the road on the north side and struck a tree, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Greene was flown to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., by a LifeStar helicopter. An update on his condition was not available Saturday.

According to the report, troopers do not know why Greene’s westbound vehicle left the roadway. He was not wearing a seat belt.
