Injury accident

¢ One person was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital at 3 p.m. Saturday after an accident near the Lecompton Interchange exit on Interstate 70 west of Lawrence, said Battalion Chief Doug Green of Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical.

The patient’s injuries were not life-threatening, Green said, and another patient at the scene refused treatment.
