Law enforcement report

¢ A 33-year-old Lawrence man jumped out of a moving GMC Suburban on Sunday afternoon while fleeing Lawrence Police, police said.

The driver fled in the truck after police attempted to make a traffic stop. He jumped out of the truck after a four-block chase, then ran away while the truck rolled into a privacy fence at 2531 Redbud Lane.

An officer chased the man for a block, then called off the pursuit. Police have identified the driver and are seeking an arrest warrant.

¢ Lawrence Police took a report of someone making criminal threats after a Douglas County District Attorney’s Office employee reported receiving harassing e-mail messages. Police said this incident was not related to any criminal cases the office was handling.

Condition report

¢ Christian D. Orr, 34, Salina, remained in critical condition Tuesday at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. He was injured Saturday while riding on the Cat Tracker bus. While riding atop the double-decker bus, Orr and another man struck an overpass in the 1700 block of Iowa Street.
