Injury accidents
¢ A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Saturday night near the intersection of Sixth Street and Crestline Drive.
Sgt. Michael Monroe, a police spokesman, said the pedestrian, a woman, was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. No tickets were issued at the scene, he said.
¢ Two Topeka residents were injured in a rollover accident Saturday afternoon on Kansas Highway 10 about three miles east of Lawrence.
Blaine Smith, 54, was driving a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound when it veered onto the south shoulder. He lost control and the jeep rolled, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.
He and his passenger, Margie Smith, 52, both wore their seat belts. They were both taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where a nursing supervisor said they were both treated and released.
