A man was flown by air ambulance to a Kansas City-area hospital Sunday evening after being pinned between two vehicles in the 1100 block of Kentucky Street. The accident happened at 5 p.m., when a driver leaving the parking lot of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1234 Ky., turned into a parked car. That car then pinned a man against another car, severely injuring his legs. The medical helicopter evacuation was made just after 5:30 p.m. No citations were issued in the accident, although police said they were still investigating.
