Former Kansas University defensive back Charles Gordon clocked unofficial times of 4.53 and 4.62 seconds in the 40-yard dash at Tuesday’s NFL Combine, according to the NFL Network.

Gordon didn’t finish in the top five in any of the six categories NFL.com posted results for – 40-yard dash, broad jump, vertical jump, three-cone, short shuttle and long shuttle. Approximately 25 defensive backs were in Group 11 with him.

Some of the top performances by the defensive backs were Clemson’s Tye Hill, who ran a 4.30 in the 40 and was tops in the three-cone drill, and Texas’ Michael Huff, who ran a 4.34 40-yard dash.

Other Big 12 defensive backs working out included Texas’ Cedric Griffin, Nebraska’s Daniel Bullocks and Baylor’s Willie Andrews.

Gordon plans on being in Lawrence on March 15 for KU’s Pro Day, where he can choose what he wants to re-test on and what times from Tuesday he wants to have stand.

The NFL Draft is April 29-30 in New York. Gordon and defensive end Charlton Keith both project to be drafted.
