Law enforcement report

¢ A 40-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was arrested in Eudora during the weekend after he fled from police on foot.

Police stopped Kelly D. Findley about 8 p.m. Saturday at 14th and Chestnut for an illegal registration.

While checking his background, they found he was wanted for a parole violation from the Kansas Department of Corrections. He ran away from the scene and was found about 30 minutes later in the Grandview Trailer Park.

¢ A 23-year-old woman was treated at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for injuries she suffered early Saturday when her ex-husband came to her home in southwest Lawrence and battered her.

Burglaries, thefts reported

¢ A 55-year-old Lawrence man had a 1939 Ford Tractor, a trailer and a wood-burning stove stolen between June 3 and June 7 from his land in the 700 section of East 200 Road, according to the Douglas County sheriff’s office. The items were valued at $2,750.

¢ A $10,000 Ford pickup truck belonging to Nowak Construction of Goddard was stolen between Thursday night and early Friday morning from the 800 block of East 13th Street, according to a report. Tools including a drill and shovels also were stolen.
