Langford signs with Salina

? Former Kansas University guard Keith Langford has signed a free agent contract with the Kansas Cagerz of the United States Basketball League.

Langford, a 6-foot-4 guard from Fort Worth, Texas, has been in negotiations with the Cagerz the last several weeks before the final details of the deal were completed Saturday.

Langford is expected to be in practice this week and likely will make his debut on Friday in Enid, Okla., against the Oklahoma Storm. His home debut would come on June 13 against the Storm.

Former Brown Mackie All-American James Williams is also expected to join the Cagerz on Tuesday and make his debut on Friday.

The team is expected to release two current players this week to make room for Langford and Williams.

Langford played for the Fort Worth Fliers of the United States Developmental League last season. He is hoping to play in the NBA next season.
