Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police arrested a 44-year-old man Tuesday evening on suspicion of striking an acquaintance on the head with a rake in an altercation behind Subway, 1720 W. 23rd St.

¢ An unknown vandal caused about $1,000 in damage between 9 p.m. Sunday and 5:45 a.m. Monday to a putting green at Eagle Bend Golf Course, 1248 E. 902nd Road. The damage included about 12 holes that appeared to have been pounded into the green with a putter, police said.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A boat motor, gas can and two aluminum paddles, valued at $1,531 total, were stolen between April 30 and May 7 from a boat parked behind a home in the 600 block of Woodson Avenue in Lecompton. The theft was not reported until this week, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

¢ A 57-year-old Manhattan woman had her Honda Civic valued at $6,000 stolen between 6:35 p.m. and 6:44 p.m. Tuesday from the 1200 block of West 23rd Street.

¢ A 67-year-old Lawrence man had a 52-inch riding lawn mower valued at $7,000 stolen from a parking lot in the 1200 block of Iowa Street, according to a report. It happened between 5 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Monday.
