Intruder damages Kroeger’s front door

? A well-known Lecompton business was broken into early Thursday, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

About 12:45 a.m., deputies responded to an alarm at Kroeger’s Country Meats in Lecompton. When they arrived, they found the front glass door had been broken with a newspaper rack.

Investigation led them to a man passed out on the porch of a home a few blocks to the east who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, according to a report. Nothing was taken from the store.

The man arrested was identified as Robert V. Leon, 36, of Eudora.
