Man pleads guilty to bank robbery

A Lawrence man has pleaded guilty to robbing a Topeka bank earlier this year.

Christopher Lee Jackson, 22, admitted Monday in U.S. District Court in Topeka that he brandished a .22 caliber revolver on May 27, 2006, while robbing Capital City Bank, 2040 N.W. Topeka Blvd.

He will be sentenced Sept. 16 and faces a mandatory seven-year minimum sentence, according to U.S. Atty. Eric Melgren’s office.
