Law enforcement Report
¢ A two-car wreck in Franklin County on Wednesday evening sent two people to the hospital with various injuries.
Richmond resident Chelsey Eimer, 17, fell asleep behind the wheel of her 1995 Ford Escort and crossed into oncoming traffic along U.S. Highway 59 about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.
Eimer then sideswiped a Ford Explorer driven by Lane resident Catherine Skeet, 61. Skeet and Eimer both swerved off the road into the ditch, the report says.
Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. The severity of their injuries was not listed.
