Law enforcement report

¢ Eudora Police chased a person on a motorcycle early Friday evening in southeastern Douglas County. Police lost the individual who was traveling at a high speed, which officers could not control, after the driver crossed into Johnson County, a Douglas County dispatcher said.

Further information from the Eudora Police Department and Johnson County Sheriff’s office was unavailable Friday night.

¢ A homeless woman told police she was attacked and beaten by four people Thursday as she sat on the banks of the Kansas River.

Police learned of the case after they were dispatched to Heartland Medical Clinic, 1 Riverfront Plaza, where the 24-year-old woman had gone to seek medical treatment.

She told police she was sitting by the river after 2:30 p.m. Thursday when four people approached her. She said the attack happened when one of the suspects, a 30-year-old woman, hit her with a rock or a brick and then began kicking her.

No one had been arrested as of Friday.
