Tight end commits to KU

The recruiting season is beginning to heat up, and Kansas University is raking in commitments as a result.

Another one pledged KU on Monday, according to rivals.com. Bradley Dedeaux, a 6-2, 240-pound tight end out of Midwest City, Okla., chose KU after visiting over the weekend. Tulsa, SMU and Oklahoma State also made scholarship offers to Dedeaux.

“I got to hang out with Brandon Blaney who coaches tight ends,” Dedeaux told rivals.

“We really connected. He wants me to come in at 240-245 pounds and be ready to play next year.”

Kansas now has 22 commitments for the 2006 class, including four junior-college transfers who already signed.

Signing day for the rest of the class is Feb. 1, and pledges are non-binding until then.
