Lawrence Police are on the scene this afternoon of a reported home-invasion robbery in the 2500 block of Redbud Lane at Sunflower apartments.

Department spokesman Sgt. Dan Ward said two men, one woman and a boy live in the apartment where the robbery happened. The woman told police she heard a knock on the door, opened the door and saw two men outside one with a gun and one with a baseball bat. They came in and approached one of the men, struck him in the head with a baseball bat and took an undetermined amount of money from him.

The victim whose injuries didn’t require medical attention told police he knew one of the robbers, Ward said. He said police are still following up leads, trying to find the men, and trying to determine their relationship to the victim.
