KU administrator finalist for CMSU job

Richard Morrell, associate vice provost for student success at Kansas University, is one of three finalists for a top administrative position at Central Missouri State University.

Morrell will visit CMSU’s campus March 1-2 to interview for the position of vice president for student affairs.

Morrell has been associate vice provost at KU since 2003. Before that, he served as KU’s registrar for 13 years and spent a year as assistant director of admissions.

He also has served as associate and assistant registrar and dean of students at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. Morrell also worked at Emporia State University as area coordinator of residence halls, residence hall director and resident assistant.

The other candidates are Randy Hyman of Ball State University and Melvin Terrell of Northeastern Illinois University.
