Lawrence police are looking for a suspect who broke into several cars in East Lawrence then set at least two of them on fire.

Firefighters were called to a garage at 1024 N.Y. just before 4 a.m. Friday, where they found two cars in a detached garage engulfed in flames.

Police say someone had stolen items from the vehicles before igniting them, resulting in more than $4,000 in damage.

Just two blocks away in another garage on New York Street, investigators found hundreds of dollars in items missing from another vehicle.

Police say they believe someone attempted to set that car on fire, too.

Yeah Off...because poor/homeless people are all thieves. Hmmm...wonder if Ken Lay was ever homeless?

Just wait until the shelter is your neighbor.

I live a block from where this happened. Someone stole my stereo a couple weeks ago. I guess I should be glad they didn't set the car on fire.

Seems to me like this was "personal".
