Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police arrested a 36-year-old Lawrence woman Saturday afternoon on charges of aggravated assault, battery and endangering a child. She was booked at 5 p.m. into the Douglas County Jail. Additional information from police Saturday night was unavailable.

¢ Police officers were responding to a call of a possible disturbance at 11 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Michigan Street. Officers were continuing to investigate late Saturday, and emergency dispatchers said officers had not notified them of any injuries.

Injury Accident

¢ A 22-year-old Paola man died at the scene at 3 a.m. Saturday when his vehicle left the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 and struck a rock wall near Edgerton, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office identified Charles D. McClure II as the driver. He did not wear a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
