Linguistics professor receives grant

Clifton Pye, associate professor of linguistics at Kansas University, has received a $314,999 grant from the National Science Foundation for his research titled "Documenting Mayan Language Acquisition."

The project is among a dozen fellowships and 22 institutional grants funded by National Science Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities for Documenting Endangered Languages.
